Kitchen and bathroom construction where the waterproofing, slopes and services are done properly the first time. These are the highest-risk rooms in any home, and the ones where cutting corners shows up two years later.
Kitchens and bathrooms are where builders get caught out, because they are the two rooms where the hidden work matters more than the visible work. A beautifully tiled bathroom over failed waterproofing is a demolition job in five years, and nobody can tell the difference on handover day.
So we do the unglamorous parts properly: correct falls to the waste, a certified waterproofing membrane with the certificate handed to you, services set out before a single tile goes down. Then we do the visible parts — stone, joinery, tapware — with trades who have been doing exactly this work for years.
Because these rooms are also the ones you cannot live without, we stage the work to give you a functioning bathroom or kitchen for as much of the schedule as the scope allows, and we tell you up front which days you will not have one.

Electrical and plumbing rough-in inspected before anything is closed up.

Waterproofing
Applied by a licensed applicator to the Nova Scotia Building Code, with a certificate issued in your name.

Finish and test
Tiling, joinery, fixtures, then a full flood and leak test before handover.

A standard bathroom renovation is 3-4 weeks. The waterproofing cure and tiling stages cannot be rushed without risking a failure, so we do not compress them.
Always. Waterproofing is applied by a licensed applicator to the Nova Scotia Building Code and you receive the certificate in your name at handover. Keep it — it matters at resale and for any future insurance claim.
Where it is sound, yes, and it saves real money. We will tell you honestly when moving a waste is worth the cost and when it is not.
